If you got bit by a tick and got Lyme disease but never knew you had it because symptoms remained dormant and didn't come out for a couple years ...does this mean that your chances of having problems for the rest of your life increase?
And dare I ask, does this also reduce your life expectancy?
I'm not sure about
increasing your chances of having problems the rest of your life.
I think we go by when symptoms start....so if you got a few symptoms....and treated right away...rather than not treating...and getting more and more symptoms piling on....it might take less time to get into remission.
But, then again...we have members who treated a few months after getting symptoms and they're still not in remission....
I haven't heard that it reduces life expectancy. I do know one lady who has been in remission for about
4 or 5 years now....and she is late 60's and going strong...seems to be very healthy.
There's a lot of 'unknowns' with lyme...
