Sound like a herx or go to the hospital?

Hi,

Can a bartonella herx last more than a week and can new symptoms show up?

I having been working up my tolerance to Beyond Balance mc bar 1 & bar 2. I react strongly so took a while to build up tolerance to 15 drops each. The last time I increased the bar 2 I had vibration feeling in my heart area which only happened a couple times for about 24hrs. Anyways I was off the beyond balance for a week because of the vibrations and then got a SPECT scan (and didn’t know if that would affect the results).

Anyways a week and a half ago I took the drops at full dose again after being off for a full week. Is it possible to have a big herx from taking a full dose after a week off?

Since I took the full dose (and I haven’t had anymore since the strong reaction) I have been having weird (and sometimes concerning) symptoms....there has been my normal bart symptoms but the chest/heart pain is new. I have had rib pain before but had not had heart/rib pains around my heart before. Now I am getting shooting pains to the top left side of my head (which I have never had before) and my neck feels weird and I feel terrible. Does this sound like a herx or something else? Does this sound hospital worthy or sound like a herx?

First off you do not feel heart pain, I think a herx but I advise you to be safe and go to hospital to be sure. Ok good luck please let me know what happens.

If you have insurance I would go to the hospital just to be cautious, It's always better to be safe than sorry. I sometimes get a stabbing pain near where my heart is, I went to an immediate care for it a while ago and found out that I have a heart murmur and something called a right bundle branch block. I hope everything turns out good for you.

I think if you are ever asking whether or not to go to the hospital, you should probably go.

I agree with jb1994 - most of the times ive considered going to the hospital I was right in my decision - not that they found anything sometimes or that theyve been helpful at all - but usually youre the best judge of it in the circumstances at hand.

I went to the hospital for a huge herx - i had crazy heart symptoms (sharp pain) - I went to the hospital and they found nothing and sent me on my way lol. The sharp pain in my heart from the herx went away and I felt great afterwards. But im still glad i went to rule out some issues (doesnt mean I DONT have undiagnosed heart issues though).

EDIT: clarifying my story: Went to the hospital for heart issues but only later figured it was becuase of a huge herx.

Yes!! That is very possible. Anytime you have to take a break, re-start slowly. I usually re-start at about half the dose I left off at.

Hope you’re feeling better. It does sound like herxing.

Beyond Balance Bar 2 does not agree with me - at all.
My LLMD is insistent on increasing dosage - like yours.
I loose visual acuity, severe brain fog, malaise feeling sick - not a herx.
I won't use it.
