if it weren't for lyme

i wouldn't have learned so much about my heavy metal issue

and probably not have undergone a nutritional balancing program which fixes your root issues in your body including

your metabolic rate and heavy metals ow thyroid and adrenals problem

it also has helped me figure out the importance of killing parasites and how they can harbor your infection etc

it helped me learn more about how parasites are the root cause of allergies and diseases

it hleped me learn about parasites and food intolerances

it helped me understand the relationship between anxiety and parasites and potentially other diseases that are related to problem

it helped me understand root cause of many diseases

this is all true

and the part where relationship between anxiety and parasites. Half the population seems jacked up on SSRI -- which has been normalized, and doctors are oblvious to parasite infections or ignore them, the tests are a joke, and everyone thinks your crazy if you bring it up. I bet Alzhimers, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, some cancers, lots of other things are somehow related to catastrophically untreated parasitic infections. if it wasn't for lyme I would not have known about the effects..

Yeah the problem is I wouldn't NEED to know all this if it weren't for Lyme...

So, I can't say it has helped me in the slightest.

Lyme has helped me get rid of that pesky life's savings and job. It helped me give up my life and hobbies. It helped to prematurely age me by decades. It has helped me to constantly worry about money, the future, and my health. It has helped me feel weak, hopeless, and useless at times.

Yeah Lyme gave me a crap ton of free time because I can't work and can barely go to school. So now I have a whole lot of time and nothing to do, and nothing I want to do either. Woo for free time. That's literally all I can think of.

Haha well yes, I'd agree that Lyme has definitely taught me a lot. If I got better sooner rather than later I have thought about even going to med school because medicine is exciting to me now.

The disease has given me the ability to have a lot more compassion which I wouldn't have discovered without becoming sick. However, I am ready to get better at this point.

I was researching for hours last night trying to figure out how those genetic scientists made the mice immune to Lyme and almost bought a crispr kit online to start experimenting lol.

I wouldn't even say Lyme has taught me compassion. On the contrary I have even less sympathy for people now because they don't have to deal with this sh**.

Lyme has taught me patience, humility, understanding and empathy. I chose not to take the view point of everything being pointless. I couldn't live like that.

I look back and wonder what kind of person I would have become if i didnt have the struggles that I have had. I would not treat my body like it has value, I probably wouldn't treat other people like they have value. And I would probably tolerate drama and senseless behavior much more than I do now.

I hated being sick for years, I wouldn't wish this on anyone. But at the same time I appreciate the things that chronic disease has taught me and I appreciate the person it has made me. We live in an imperfect world, if it wasn't lyme it would be something else. I haven't met anyone yet whose never had any struggles, just people that ignored the lessons they could have learned.

Exactly, I am thankful that I am now healthy enough to have hobbies and think about life again. It took many hard years. Sometimes I get to do life (sometimes a lot!) and sometimes its just thinking about life.

One example, I have a classic car. Its old, its quirky, I can drive it to work and have fun. But sometimes it has issues because its a 45 year old car. Old me would have been very stressed out, once it blew the head gasket. Gushed smoke and coolant all over the road. Could have spotted it from the sky.
New me said okay cool, this is a new reason for me to explore and investigate the inerworkings of my car (and enjoy it). Took me longer than others, sure. But did I have fun? You bet. Little victories.

Am I crazy, maybe, but I find "normal" stresses dont stress me like other people get stressed. Flat tire? $$ but not a big deal. Bad cold? Only for a week or two. I will forget it ever happened. Bad day at work? Was it really a bad day or was it a sucky 10 minutes (or less). See a homeless person and decide the world is terrible? Maybe its my turn to make change in the community instead of blaming others for "their" laziness.

Perspective, its either a light or a deep hole.

I guess Lyme has helped me acquire a new hobby (food blogging) though I could've done it without Lyme, and was before. I just have gotten more in-depth with it by providing my own photography to go with the posts. And I figured out a career that works for me but again, I could've done that without Lyme. So still drawing a blank. Not sure my mom likes me living at home still but maybe my presence benefits her, even though I am a little brat :D
