MARCoNS Testing - Awful

I've read some posts about getting MARCoNS testing, but nothing could've prepared me for that.

It was the worst 30 seconds of my life..

Anyway, my doctor said that this was important to know, because if positive, BEG naisal spray would be the best way to cure it, then in turn, raise my low MSH levels.

I've read so many mixed things about MARCoNS - that it's super important and other sources that say it's a bunch of crap.

What's your experience?

Yeah, they are not shy about cramming the big Q-tip into the sinuses.

I had MARCoNS test done twice. The first time was to see if I would test negative/or positive. My test came back positive.

I used the BEG nasal spray twice a day for one month. I got terrible nose bleeds and insomnia the whole time I was using the nasal spray. I personally didn't notice anything getting better while on the nasal spray.

After one month of using the spray, I was given my second MARCoNS test the very next day. The result was negative.

It wasn't until later when I thought about the second test. Why was it given the very next day after finishing the nasal spray? Shouldn't you maybe wait a couple of days then test to see if anything started to grow back? I don't know.

I know that another member that used to post here, also had nose bleeds while using the spray.

I was terrified when I had to take the swab because I had to do it myself. I watched youtube videos repeatedly. Now I think it's the best way as you can do it very slowly, at your own pace not hurting yourself. It's not pleasant, but it's alright. I imagine if some heavy handed nurse did it it could be a much more traumatic experience.

For me it turned out to be an important test, because it revealed the presence of e coli in my sinuses, which I never suspected as people mostly talk about marcons. I took antibiotics for that and finally got a relief from some symptoms that had dragged on for months. There are though different tests I think, including marcons, e coli, fungi in the sinuses, I remember my llnd recommended this one that comprised all of these and was quite expensive (sending the sample from the UK to the US via UK lab £380=was about $500).
As for MARCoNS, in a better health guy's interview dr NN stated that it is no longer being treated...
