I hadn’t really considered that I even had Bartonella. Always knew I had Lyme and Babesia but none of my symptoms lined up with Bartonella. Perhaps I’ve had it all along and it was dormant but Disulfirum activated it?
I am that way about
babesia. I had a positive Lyme test and classic bartonella symptoms but was in denial about
the possibility of babesia for a long time. However, after treating Lyme/bart/mold for a while, I decided to try to treat parasites.
I knew I had ropeworm, so I was focused on GI parasites. Much to my surprise, I had some common babesia symptoms when I tried antiparastic herbs. I am still treating with herbals and hope to move on to Rx anti-oarasitics next year.
I think most of us actually have more infections in the mix than we realize, because there are usually one or two that are clearly dominant.
My Lyme doctor told me at my first appointment that treating these infections is like playing whack-a-mole. When you beat one down, another will pop up. She said you keep treating until they’re all gone.
