Am I missing anything?

I had to stop my doxy, the GI issues were just too much for me to deal with, it was actually pretty scary. So for now my ND is doing an all herbal protocol for me. We’re working together to find a combination that will hit the Lyme as well as the common coinfections. I’ll be using Cat’s Claw, Houttuynia, Takuna, Allicin, Olive Leaf, Lauricidin, Propolis, and Colloidal Silver. How does this protocol sound? Am I missing anything important? Are there any changes you would suggest?

Sorry for not writing back sooner! The biofilm buster I’m taking is Serrapeptase, you take it twice s day. I’m not familiar with the one you’re taking but if your doctor said it’s for biofilm it should be good! Good luck

Japanese Knotweed? I thought it was the best herb to take, and should always be taken with Cat's Claw because they work better together.

I get mine from woodlandessence.com, which my LLMD recommended, and I think Buhner recommends them too.

Japanese knotweed is something to add - it’s one of the herbs for lyme plus Bartonella

I'm on JK Plus (has Cat's Claw), Houttuynia, and CSA (has Alchornea), and my dr. just recommended Cistus Tea, so they should be fine together, but I don't know about Takuna.

I have not tried the Cistus tea yet though, it's supposed to break up biofilms.

Are you taking colloidal silver too? I think that also breaks up biofilms, my dr. told me to pick that OR Cistus tea. When I take silver I herx like crazy. Have you taken it before? Gives me drenching night sweats and tons of leg spasms.

Jap Knotweed #1. This is extremely specific to Lyme inflamation pathways and it can help you narrow down what your main offender is. Good to start there and relatively slow. That combined with Cats Claw and andrographis is the Core Buhner Protocol. The very next thing he recommends is Gou Teng.

Then you stack up more herbs on top of that. Houtouynya is a good start. So is sida acuta.

Dont forget to take collagen too.

Depending on how long youve been sick, I wouldnt worry about addressing biolfilms directly unless you have been sick for many years. Buhner says his herbs are effective against biofilms as well, so the biofilm treatments, which are mainly bloodthinners, arent usually necessary as long as you keep chipping away with his herbs.

I did collodial silver for a couple weeks and also GrapeFruit Seed Extract. As well as a lot of other stuff.

And maybe give doxy another shot if your stomach feels better. You gotta take super high potency probiotics, like 950 billion CFU's.

I can tell you that the combination of doxycycline and japanese knotweed together for me created a very drastic and noticeable turnaround in my health in a very short period of time with just those 2. Like within a couple weeks. Buhner says this kind of fast turnaround is not uncommon with this herb. He also describes in his book how Doxy and Japanese Knotweed compliment eachother amazingly well. Its a great book. You should get it.

Yes. It is called "Visbiome" When I first started taking this in 2016, it was available strictly by prescription, but now its available to the general public. As far as i know, this is the highest potency probiotic you can get in capsule form. 112.5 BILLION CFU's per capsule

It used to be called VSL-3 but they changed the packaging and name.

People take this for things like IBS, UC and Chrons. It seemed to work quite well for me. I would take it 3-4 hours after my last ABX dose before bed along with some kifir or whole milk.

There are a lot of questionable probiotics out there, but this one is the real deal. They even ship it on ice packs to keep the proper temp, and you put them in the fridge when you get them.

Thanks WalkingbyFaith, that’s good to know. I have EBV so collagen might have done more harm than good if I took it without something to counter the arginine. Do you happen to know if Alchornea and Takuna are ok to take together? My ND wasn’t sure and couldn’t find anything on using them together because they’re a part of two different protocols.
