diaphragm paralysis from lyme

wondering if this may be what i have and if anyone here has had this? I googled it and there are a few cases of this. I also found one case where it was treated ( not caused by lyme but diaphragm paralysis) by acupuncture. file:///C:/Users/offic/Downloads/324-1297-1-PB%20(1).pdf My next step is to see an acupuncturist.
But am researching if anyone here has personally gotten diaphragm palsy or paralysis from lyme and co's and if so what does it fee like.
I am having a severe worsening of symptoms.I would go to the hospital but that I have been many times to the ER with no help. I am going out of state in one week to a acupuncturist so trying to stay alive till then literally.
Feels like a severe squeezing at my diaphragm, my lower belly bloats out, and i cannot breathe.
Anyone else have this? or know of the same symptoms to be maybe something less scary than a diaphragm paralysis?
It is more severe than an ms hug type feeling it is like a total squeezing as hard as it can be squeezed at the diaphragm area. Thank you And I have already googled it and found the articles so really just looking for personal experience of anyone else having a tight squeezed up diaphragm?

may be as simple as a hatal hernia or as horrible as a parlyzed diaphrag,m I really cant figure it out

thank you yes I have been to chiros who supposedly pull it down and there is no change in symptoms
I literally have no idea what is causing my smyptoms.
I run the idea of parlyzed diaphrag, lyme/babs/bart, hernia, somehting totally else. all I know is i had none of this prior to tick bite

bluelyme can you please tell me more about this? specifically :
-did you have nerve damage that affected your diaphragm ( phrenic nerve) and if so how didi you know?
-was it caused by lyme an or co infections ( which ones) and how did you know?
- how did the accupuncture help you and how long ago did you do it?
- how does it feel now?
-what were the breathing and diaphragm symptoms and what are they now?

fg- it was a special crazy accupuncture with stingers of honeybees! for 3 yrs + called hoshindo .
i was a singer so i knew when it got weak. there was visable wasting all over my body spurred by a vasculitis which could have been sulfa induced or just plain ol bartonellla/mycoplasma . ill never know ... most als persons have a medication and/or life trauma that triggers it ...a painful non sterile emg showed nerved damage , it was not fun style midevil electroshock....
cignet maybe correct also i couldn't stir the throwup response in my throat, i was biting my cheek and tounge unaware while chewing ...i did this klinghardt style triggerpoint injection with ozoneand homeopathics over my diaphragm and in my face , it was weird emotional herx and bam it was like the computer reset....i used sunflower lecithin and royal jelly(kilos) and the patricia kane protocol to heal after offending pathogens were diminished

Hi again, flowergarden. I hope that you can cope okay for the next week until your trip to the acupuncturist. I hope you will let us know how your treatment with him goes and that you find some relief!

I am curious if you have a pulse oximeter. For $25, I have found it very useful for peace of mind, especially when any breathing-related symptoms arise. It can be nice to know that my tissues are in fact getting enough oxygen even when it may not feel like it. (It's also a good biofeedback device if you have issues with anxieity, POTS, or tachycardia.)

I hear you that you have determined that you are not experiencing the "MS hug" but I have to say (in case future folks with the MS hug read this post while trying to figure out their own problem) that the "MS hug" can be extremely severe. Sometimes it's just a fluttery feeling in the abdomen, and other times it's truly a 10/10 on the pain scale, for hours or days. Don't rule it out based on severity. It's the most severe pain I've had in my life, and scary, and deep, and affects organs, etc. Nerve issues can be so difficult to pinpoint, and it seems like doctors steer us to every other possible cause!

Anyway, I hope you find the culprit ASAP. It's so maddening to be in pain and have breathing be tough without knowing what is going on and whether to worry.

Hi LymePeace1- I'm having a lot of these issues as well...in addition to the diaphragm disfunction. For the last 18 months I was undiagnosed, but I've finally received a lyme diagnosis with probable Bartonella. I started Lyme treatment with abx about a month ago and I will check back in with an update if any of it has helped. Just wanted to let you know you that you aren't alone!
