So sorry you are dealing with this challenge.
Just watched this video about thyroid. I know you said your thyroid numbers are good, but I have heard here and in other places how important it is to have a full thyroid panel done, and how most doctors don't do full panels. Also what is a normal level for one person might not be a normal number for another person. Just a thought. My numbers are always in the normal range but on the way low end, and I've often wondered if it's a problem. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UO9u2Tx4GpI&feature=youtu.be
Isn't hair thinning a common side effect of Cortef and other steroids? Perhaps the increase (or the change itself) made the hair loss resume? I'm sure that was disappointing.
Would you mind telling us what you have tried already for adrenal fatigue? I know you have tried many things, so I would not want to offer suggestions you have tried already. Have you tried treatments you don't ingest, like full-spectrum light, acupuncture, meditation, DNRS, mind-body therapy, etc.?
I know how finicky adrenal treatment is, since what works like a charm for one person makes another one feel horrible! I just looked up the Adrenal Px Balance supplement, and three of the adaptogens it contains make me feel awful; makes it so hard to know what will help when our bodies all respond so differently. I felt a little better on Dr. Wilson's Adrenal Rebuilder (a glandular supplement) and love ashwagandha.
You said no improvement on cortisol tests, but has there been an improvement in symptoms from anything else?
What about hormones other than cortisol and thyroid - have you had comprehensive hormone testing? Those systems are all related, so an imbalance in one can mess up the others. HPA axis dysfunction can be very complex. Any MRIs to look for nodules on the thyroid, hypothalamus, or pituitary glands that might be preventing proper hormone regulation?
Which supplements are you on other than B complex?
I hope that we can offer some ideas!
