after my second dose of ABX i sweat pretty good and been cold to the touch latley. The odd thing was last evenings temp was 96 and today sweating like a pig right now feel cold but temp is 98.6. The good news is that the sore feet seems to have subsided. Does anyone have cold sweats from herx/relasing toxins. I also had about 3 small blood blister looking things on my chest now I have 6.

When I was killing off the Babesia I had intense night sweats and my legs and feet were freezing no matter how many blankets and pairs of sox I had on. I think this is a common herx reaction to Babesia die off.

Any chance the red growths are a symptom of Bartonella bacilliformis, flaring because of treatment? They can look like cherry angiomas. I had some very noticeable ones on my chest from Bartonella bacilliformis.

I would bet that your sweating and temperature swings are a result of herxing as well. Sounds rough!

Yes, the crazy thing is for me is I havent hit 98.6 degress in years! I guess this would be a fever for me. lol. If I had a fever that should be a good thing I would take it.

I sweat periodically - but not as much as I used to.
My temp was always in range or lower.

...only time I had a fever was when I was on the Persisters protocol - at the end of the week of dapsone, daraprim, Rifabutin and Ceftin.

I used to sweat a lot on disulfiram. But now that I'm building up slower I don't sweat as much.

I wake most mornings with sweats now - some kind of mild herx reaction to the herbs I am taking - feel hot, clammy, and sweat can be running down my chest - but my temperature when I measure it is typically below normal not above.

this is consistent with chronic Bartonella infection - acc to Dr Burrascano

little red blood blisters ( angioma ) are consistent with many Bartonella species - not only the south American one.
I have some of those too - red crescents at the back of the throat, sore feet and ankles, odd rashes, headaches, and eye pain, gut symptoms, irritable eyes/vision issues, and mild liver issues and CNS irritability ( mood issues, irritability, intolerance, easily stressed etc ) are all common signs of Bartonella.

if it is Bart - combination antibiotics are important to prevent resistance - ( again ac to Burrascano)

any and / or all your usual symptoms can flare when you take an antibiotic or anti-microbial herb - and new ones can arise - presumably due to local inflammation caused when organisms in your system are killed off - but the mechanism are still not well understood scientifically.

That's interesting, Woodduck12. My temperature usually runs low, but I checked it recently since I've started the Biaxin and Rifampin, and was getting a higher reading than I normally do. Not over 98.6 but higher than my normal so could that mean a fever for me? Perhaps.

I think it is the Biaxin. I woke up to a temp of 97.1 and I just took it again for the third staight day I had the same reaction. Cold sweats and but my temp today is 99.1 it does go down . I did get Burbur and pinella today. Maybe toxins are finally coming out. I dont feel sick or flu like. My nueorpathy has been subsiding, Been more spacy but my intrusions are better. I know I am on monothearpy with a ton of detox stuff. Mind you I was on buhner herbs and pretty high doese at times for 3 yrs. May was the only time off killing herbs. I to add ceftin but I am holding off until I figure out this temp thing. I been doing a good job of social distancing I hope it ant COVID

One month exactly. I had alot of twitching last night as well. I also wonder if toxins can hang in your brain for years? Maybe those are starting to clear out? Who knows with this dieses. I want to ask for ramp. Is it possible that I had another infection? I didnt expect biaxin to hit the brain stuff as hard as it did. The herx was rough and I still think I am slowly getting out it been a month now. Also, CWL how has it been on ramp so far? Morning temp was 96.5 I have been checking a couple times a day.

It's always possible that we have more than one infection. It's good to keep in mind in case another infection becomes dominate, and we need to target that one more.

Dr. M (bart specialist) believes bartonella needs prolonged treatment to be able to beat it. Perhaps even 8-12 months or longer depending on the patient. I think he usually ramps up on the Biaxin and Rifampin/Rifabutin and then treats at full dose for 6 months. I'm sure it varies though.

I've been on 300mg Rifampin 1x day for nearly two weeks and am thinking I'll stay at that dose for at least another week before changing to 300mg 2x day. It's going okay. I don't feel too well, but it is tolerable. I had a really sore spot on side of neck under ear that seems to be easing. Might be a lymph node.

My LLPA doesn't think the Rifampin and Biaxin will cover Lyme too well, so we will probably add in something to hit Lyme more in a month or so.
