This was my first LLMD back in 2011-13. So my information may be out of date! But I liked that he takes his time with you, and educates you on Lyme. He will send you home with medical literature on occasion. I also like that he does not sell supplements out of his office (so he has no incentive to put you on extra stuff). His wife is also great as a nurse. He did a pretty standard antibiotic protocol back then with some supplements. We tried one or two other antibiotic combinations. My cognitive symptoms improved, but I was still left with severe fatigue. After about a year and a half, he felt he had done all that he could for me, and referred me out to Dr. H in NY.
Dr. H was not able to do much for my fatigue at that time, other than identifying some food sensitivities. It took years of experimentation with herbs to address the fatigue. So I don't blame either Dr. S or Dr. H for not being able to help with that, because it's been quite a process to figure out.
Overall, I was very happy with Dr. S and I would recommend him for anyone who is on their first LLMD. If you have already been through a typical LLMD treatment, then he might not be able to do much else for you. However, a lot has changed in Lyme treatment since 2013, so he may have started to try other treatments. Hopefully you will get some other responses with some fresher information!
