I don't know how you got the idea that I didn't care about my fellow humans. I ask how much do you sacrifice before it becomes counter productive. Is mourning dead you don't know while thousands of others suffer, or their future suffering could be prevented by the simplest action helpful? The bigger picture rarely matters to most people but that's all I see because it helps the most people.
Interestingly enough the US has done WAY WAY less than nearly every other first world nation in regards to Covid.
Germany, Japan, Italy, S Korea, France, NZ, Thailand, V Nam, etc etc.
all of those nations had a much stricter lock down, WAY more contact tracing, higher rates of testing per capita, etc
And oddly enough they all currenlty have about
zero deaths per day of covid.
So not sure what you think should have happened here.
