I think I get your reasoning on the Covid deaths and excess deaths, but I'm just not sure how all the numbers are going to pan out and don't plan on changing my mind at this point. My brain is a bit sluggish right now too, so that is limiting my thinking capabilities.

FLOG: As far as I know it's been done before with other viruses and it seems to be safe, so although we don't know a whole lot about how effective it is against this virus, granting emergency use seems appropriate.

Apparently Trump criticized the FDA calling them "deep state" or something, and shortly thereafter the grant was given for its use. Some have wondered if Trump was interfering in the process in order to have this announcement coincide with the Republican convention.

I find it extremely hard to believe the body is going to voluntarily give up immunity that quickly.
My initial *guess* as to why people were losing antibodies so quickly is because 1.) it’s T cells that matter 2.) current testing can’t detect such low levels of antibodies 3.) all you need is a few memory B cells, they are ready to recognize anitigen and rapidly secrete antibody. It’s probably a combo of all 3, and I don’t think antibody levels are the end all be all

I think if people are getting re-infected, it’s either due to a mutated strain, or they will be largely asymptomatic as the already protected immune system works to quickly fight the pathogen

Actually the CDC just updated their guidelines today. Schools won't be immediately required to shut down if there's a covid case at the school. People without symptoms, won't be required to get covid tested if someone that they came in contact with tests positive.

Not anymore. I also think that they are trying to get some kids back in the classroom. I guess time will tell if it's a good thing but my kids will go back to the classroom on a limited basis

The states are deciding for themselves.
I live in West Virginia. My daughter is a junior in college. They tested all the students before they returned. Three were positive but asymptomatic. They went ahead and opened last Monday. So far she has only had one in person class, the rest online.

They gave any student who wanted it a private room. She took one since it didn't cost any more. We talked about it and decided it would be best if she quit her job this semester and just see what happens. She scans the meal cards of the students at the cafeteria so she would be in contact with a lot of people.

I'm worried about my daughter but she has a really good head on her shoulders. She's smart and responsible. It's the other people that worry me. When I was up there about a third of the kids were ignoring the mask requirement. There were only ten students in her class, she said they are keeping any class they can small.

The college about five miles down the road also has some cases. I don't see this going well.

Our local k-12 is splitting the kids into two groups. One group goes Monday and Tuesday the other group goes in person Thursday and Friday. Every one goes online the days they aren't in person including Wednesday. The schools are sanitized on Wednesday and Saturday. The kids were all given iPads for use at home.

Our state has a color coding system and for a school to have in person class the county must not be in the red. As the threat level goes from green, yellow, orange and then red schools are increasingly restricted. At red everything is shut down. Seems like a compromise between the shut it all down folks and masks are a violation of my rights I want to party folks. We'll see how it goes. Hopefully good.

Regarding CDC, it seems to indicate that they know the pandemic is over or that they now are admitting that asymptomatic people are not problematic.
