Hi guys random question but me and my sister have both had ear pressure and strong fatigue for the past week. I looked it up and both are Covid symptoms, how worried should we be?

Wouldn’t hurt to get tested .

Can't think of any other reason to limit the amount of testing. I guess contact tracing is over?

CDC guidelines are just that guidelines, it is not law. States and counties with health departments can regulate, or not, as they wish. (States rights, etc, it's in the Constitution.)

And we can each also CHOOSE to get tested without the governments permission.

If you're worried, get tested.

If you're worried about others infecting you, buy n95 masks and skip the fabric fantasy.

I've had to be tested multiple times for my job. Now I get tested twice a week.

I have done the nasal swab to the brain, the gentle swab, the blood antibody and just last week I had the finger prick pregnancy test style of test. None of them are painful. Don't believe the people complaining, it's really not a big deal.

Swedens obesity rate for adults is 16 %, compared to 40 % in USA. We also have paid sick leave, no risk of a huge bill when going to the hospital. More single house holds, less population density, less protest/riots etc.

Sweden had the highest dead per pop for a while after it declined in Italy and Spain. I think it will increase a lot in Sweden the next month as school started and colder weather.

I have had the nasal swab done 4 times ( 3 surgery procedures and one for a suspecting a case ) its not that painful.

Georgia was the earliest state to open up more quickly despite grave warnings, and they have done fine.

One doctor (I think it was Dr. Todaro) said that you can find data showing where the CDC dumped past Covid cases into southern state numbers in June or July.

New Zealand and South Korea have been praised for how they "controlled" the virus but are now both having a virus surge.

When Dr. Fauci says that NY "did it correctly" in lowering cases, I think he's giving the public a distorted picture and a false impression. It's important to note what someone says, but it's also important to note what someone does not say. Dr. Fauci's hyper-focus is destructive considering his position and credentials. Many people look up to him.

- he was praising NY's lock down measures
- he did not highlight NY's Covid death count or the collateral damage and destruction from a lock down
- he did not mention that there were riots occurring while NYC was successfully lowering Covid cases
- he did not acknowledge that the riots could have helped NYC gain immunity
- aftermath - the virus, lock downs, riots, and bad leadership have made NY (most notably NYC) a disaster. Governor Cuomo is literally begging people to return saying he'll buy them a drink or take them out for dinner. It's been said that some stayed in NYC because they thought they had to have that NYC job. Well, the lock downs showed them they didn't have to have that job and could very well live elsewhere.

It appears that history is going to show that SD was the only state that did it correctly.

This guy says that no other virus on earth has ever been accompanied by so much testing and testing that has created this "nonsense" and "panic". He said that a PCR test can pick up even a very small piece of RNA - it doesn't give you information regarding whether the RNA is complete or even virulent. It could be the virus or just a dead chunk of virus.

- he did not highlight NY's Covid death count or the collateral damage and destruction from a lock down: You would need to demonstrate that the lockdowns have caused collateral damage that would have not occured otherwise. Personal note: I'm not a fan of continued shutdowns of certain industries without sufficient financial support.

- he did not acknowledge that the riots could have helped NYC gain immunity: Why would he acknowledge a hypothesis that doesn't have sufficient evidence to accept is most likely true? He's a scientist.

Sounds like you expect him to speak as if he were you. He probably doesn't believe immunity is playing such a big role in reducing spread.. doesn't make his comments irresponsible. He did mention "New York got hit worse than any place in the world."

I knew Fauci had become like a boogy man for some, but this criticism of NYC is new to me...

(Haven't watched the video) It is true that PCR testing won't let you know if you're contagious or how contagious you are (changes thru the course of illness). If you have dead virus chunks though, you've clearly been exposed/infected somewhat recently. This is obviously good to know.

I occasionally check the Georgia Department of Health stats. Last week I was shocked when I saw how GA cases had skyrocketed. People here are often not wearing masks even in stores that have signs posted. There is a general apathy or rebellion regarding the matter much like the various attitudes displayed in this thread.

Apparently, COVID is like Lyme - people won’t “get it” until they get it. Even among those who get COVID, there will be the group who get mild cases and think it’s no big deal (in spite of the unknown damage to organs it could cause whose signs may be displayed later). They are like the acute Lyme after known tick-bite folks who get the “flu” and are fine after a short round of dozy. Those folks don’t believe Lyme can cause the widespread symptoms and neurological horrors that other Lyme patients experience and try to tell those people that Lyme doesn’t do that because it didn’t happen to them.

Very similar to chronic Lyme in its breadth of symptoms. May end up more deadly than chronic Lyme in its organ destruction. That will be determined as time goes in.

With over 5.5 million Americans having tested positive, how will our healthcare system manage chronic symptoms or monitor for organ/other body damage/dysfunction?

We with chronic Lyne already know the healthcare system has nothing but pain pills, anxiety meds, and gaslighting comments to offer those with a host of chronic symptoms that they believe can’t possibly be real because your CBC and metabolic panel say nothing’s wrong with you.

Do the long term repurcussions and coagulation problems for COVID show up on these routine tests that doctors out 100% of their blind faith in?

Oh, okay. They did mention something about long term effects in SARS and maybe MERS. I would not compare COVID-19 to the flu.

I would say from what I read that one is much likely to have long term issues from COVID-19 than from a cold or a flu.

The article you linked seemed to mainly refer to encephalitis type illness from viruses - mainly enterovirus.

From all indications, COVID-19 is far more serious and dangerous than the flu or any common illness in its breadth of effects and the potential dangers of those effects. Hope folks actually read the Science Magazine article I linked. It’s very in depth and helps to understand the gravity of this virus.

I am blessed, I guess, that I have no television to watch, so I don’t get inundated and biased by all the confusing clamor that I am sure is perpetuated in the media.
