I’ve been considering using it as a way to absorb Pirenzipine, which is an anticholinfwrgic good for neuropathy

I would be very careful that your skin is clean when using it, you don’t want to be absorbing something you’re not meant to

its a penetrant

anything you mix it with will penetrate the skin and be absorbed into your system.

only use it on very clean skin

DMSO is thin like water. Herbs would need to be gel based or fall off.

I use it in top of penetrex gel which has some natural anti- inflammatories in it. Used over magnesium gel too.

That’s the whole idea of it is to take things in through the skin. So you make sure you know you’re taking through the skin ....but the first step is to be clean, no big deal .

you do have to let it dry, just can’t put clothes on right away it takes a good 20 minutes to a half hour for it to dry.

Zero adverse reactions using it several times a week sometimes for three years. This was part of my tendon and muscle rebuilding process I did this after working out on certain muscle areas and or trigger point release.

It certainly no miracle but it does make a difference in what I used it for .

I have never Injested it. I’m somewhat of a guinea pig but not that much.

I know this is a little off topic, but DMSO is an interesting drug. We used it intravenously with our horse when he came up lame and there was a worry about life threatening laminitis. It worked and he fully recovered. However, you could smell the sulfur from about 100 feet away. I could barely stand to be around him as it emanated from his body.

Anyway, it's used topically with horses and they are still finding new uses for it.

Thats funny about the smell, The vet stuff smells worse apparently.

I can't smell the 99.9% pure stuff on the bottle..........or on myself at all............yet I can tell when I stink from physical work on a hot day.

If DMSO stinks or not on someone - it might depend on personal physical bio-chemical make-up. Just a guess.

If you get pure 100% pharma grade it does not smell at all.

The crappy versions smell, the good stuff does not.

Well......I googled this before using it and it smells on some people and doesn’t on others. I do smell s slight chemical smell, but it’s certainly not a sulfur smell. And once dry all smell is gone.

Once I started using Penetrex that had a slight medicated smell. Note: my sense of smell works very well too.

Or...perhaps it's a larger area being applied...ie more of the dsmo being used?
