Will being in Cortef worsen Candida? I’m wondering if it’s causing my Candida to not go away as easily. There’s not a lot of info on it but I though I read somewhere that taking steroids isn’t great for Candida

Cortef is low dose, right?
I think if it is dosed as it is in autoimmune diseases - perhaps it could cause an effect but if your cortisol is low and are taking low dose for that - I don’t think it would be a problem.

I’ve read 20 mg or less is okay - won’t shut the adrenals down like higher doses.
I haven’t heard that it causes Candida - did you ask the prescribing Dr?
