I was discussing my memory issues...and he (my LLMD ) stated that Methylene Blue helps with memory.
If I'm remembering correctly - will try and find my notes - he mentioned the hippocampus is affected.


Anyone know about this? I'm not even sure if I can get Methylene Blue. If I can - is there any reason why I should NOT take it? Is it pretty much benign?


I think that was the treatment for methemoglobinemia. (Which I was freaking out about when I was on Dapsone)

I called the pharmacy I use for all my lyme meds - and they have it - but it’s not a dropper - it’s capsules.

Wonder if capsules would be okay -

yep - most people in the Lyme / Bart world using it are using it in capsule form

i think this is the form Dr H uses also - or compounded tablets - which are effectively the same thing

its an interesting drug - as Cignet says the lower doses are anti-inflammatory and protective of the CNS etc

the antimicrobial doses for bart ( high anti-persister cell action ) are still up for grabs - but people are experimenting with the dose ranges used when it was used for malaria - I think around 700-900mg a day - but don't quote me on that exact number.

Interesting, this is one thing I’ve never tried. Is it considered a pharmaceutical drug or more of a natural thing? How’s the pricing? Good luck everyone

I am waiting to get preliminary bloodwork done but will also be starting Methylene Blue soon. My doctor is combining it with Clotrimazole and Artemisinin. All three of these are new to me. My doc recently took me off of the Mepron/Azithromycin combo I was on, which I am not happy about. I feel Babesia is my main issue and I felt decent while on Mepron/Azithromycin. However, my doc says that she doesn't want me to become resistant. (was only on the combination for four months)

My main problem is air hunger/exhaustive breathing/heavy breathing (whatever you want to call it, it sucks). My doc told me she has seen peoples' breathing issues dissipate on the Methylene Blue/Clotrimazole combo. I know these two are used for Bartonella and I'm all cool with treating that again. I do not however, want to allow the Babesia to gain any ground.

So I guess my question is has Methylene Blue and/or Clotrimazole helped anyone with breathing issues or any Babesia issues in general.

I am taking Methylene Blue in almond oil filler 50 mg from Rockridge pharmacy i am having diarrhea and bloating and tiredness is that a normal Herx. I took it 3 days
