Hello everyone, this is my first post, but I have been dealing with chronic lyme for about 8 months now. I am struggling with many symptoms, but today and yesterday it feels as though my insides and even my organs are being squeezed. Has anyone else felt abdominal squeezing or pressure? I am not currrently treating because I am taking a break from my herbal regimen. It seemed my body really needed a rest. This is such an uncomfortable/scary feeling.

I am not sure exactly what you are feeling when you say your insides feel squeezed, but I have experienced two different phenomenons that may be what you’re describing.

I have had times when I started losing weight inexplicably and my abdomen started hollowing out overnight. It felt like something was suctioning in my belly and my sides.

I also had severe rib tightness during another period where I couldn’t stand up straight. It felt like I had a band across the top of my ribs directly under my breasts and like there was a vertical bungee cord from my upper ribs down to my pelvis pulling me downward.

I almost forgot. I have also had the feeling that my intestines were being squeezed flat in a vice grip. This was when my intestines went into lockdown and I had severe, recalcitrant constipation.

Yes! The first one! Feeling like something is suctioning my belly from the inside. My belly even looks weird. Sunken in. Do you know what might help? What a terrible feeling. Had a ct scan 6 months ago and it was totally clean. This happened a few months ago, but this time it is really bad. Do you know what might cause this? Thank you for responding.

In my case it was either mold or ropeworm. I had gradually gained weight over several years after leaving the first moldy house. Within a couple months of this second weight loss, I did mycotoxin testing and mold testing on the house and discovered I was in bad exposure and very mold toxic again. I remember the hollowing out and suctioning feeling. It was freaky.

What might help?

Check for mold with an ERMI or HERTSMI-2 from Mycometrics Lab.

If no mold, try Mimosa pudica or Brenda’s herbal recipe for parasites (realfoodrebel.com).

thank you so much for this response. I also think I am having some MCAS symptoms. I feel terrible after eating certain foods and have a terrible time with all Lyme treatments (all herbal so far). I seem to remember that you posted about a doctor in Bethesda, MD who specializes in MCAS. I am pretty close to Bethesda and would like to see if he/she is accepting new patients. My symptoms are now significantly impeding my ability to manage my family. Would you be able to share the name of the Bethesda doctor through email? I think it was a Dr. M. Many, many thanks.
