Active B Complete by Onnithttps://www.onnit.com/active-b-vitaminsThis is what I'm currently taking. What I like about
this supplement is the amounts of the individual B Vitamins are more reasonable than the other supplements I've used and reviewed. The serving size is one capsule.
Like Paul, I've also used the "B-Right" supplement from Jarrow Formulas. As Paul also noted, some of the values for the various Bs are quite high. As the serving size is one capsule, I
could have
opened the capsules and poured out some of the contents to lower the dose, but that didn't interest me.
Bio-3B-G by Biotics Researchhttps://shop.bioticsresearch.com/products/bio-3b-gThis is one I've read about
, but haven't taken. I was interested in it, due to the form of Thiamine (B1) it uses. Another selling point for me, should I ever decide to try it, is the serving size is three capsules. That would allow me to modulate the dose more easily, by taking more or less capsules.
Regarding the solubility and excretion of B-Vitamins, have a look at
Do We Have Limited Storage Capacity for Water-Soluble Vitamins? and note the chart titled "Average Adult Vitamin Storage Capacity (In Days)."
It was seeing this chart that caused me to back down from taking large doses of various vitamins with abandon. I can't confirm that the information in the above article is correct or not, but I now think about
what's a physiological dose of a vitamin or mineral that I'd likely get in a well-structured diet. Thinking of it that way, I reconsidered taking 2,000% to 15,000% of certain compounds, as I'd never get that much from food.
Good luck in your search. I hope you find something helpful.
