Cavitation surgery

I’m wondering if anybody here has ever had or heard of cavitation surgery?

I have been doing lots of research on this lately and am starting to think maybe this is a issue with me and why I may have gotten sick to begin with.

Months before I got sick I had a tooth removed. I never thought this could have anything to do with my health and Lyme but now learning that sometimes when extracting a tooth if the bone does not heal properly it can create a little hole or pocket which bacteria and other toxins love to hang out in.

Perhaps that’s what’s keeping the immune system tied up.

I’m very interested in learning more about this and would love to hear from anybody else if they have every had this procedure done. Finding a dentist that does it is extremely difficult as it looks like there are very few and most of them being on the west coast. I am on the east coast..

Would bone grafting me the same thing? I found a doctor in Ohio that does the cone beam scan but it doesn’t say anything about cavitation surgery

I seen a statistic that 94% of teeth extractions leave cavitation. Not sure how accurate that is.

I have read high statistics like that as well, although I'm not sure which sources are actually reliable. I had my cone beam scan reviewed by three separate holistic dentists, all of whom would have made lots of money by telling me I had cavitations, and they all said there were none - following four wisdom teeth extractions and two root canals. If the 94% statistic were accurate, then I highly doubt I would have beaten the odds six times! But I guess who knows. This is not an area in which there's been a bevy of independent, peer-reviewed research.

The single most impactful thing I've done in my 15 years dealing with these chronic infections was clean up my dental health. Like you, I am also now looking back and wondering if my dental issues are what has been keeping my immune system down and unable to fight off these infections all these years...My poor health DID start approximately 1 year after I had major dental work done (a complicated wisdom tooth extraction and a couple deep fillings..one of which became infected.)

A few months ago, I found out I had a massive infection in my jaw from a severely infected tooth. I had been having pain in this area on and off for years but regular x-rays never showed anything. I learned about biological dentistry and got a cone beam done. BINGO! Huge infected area that ate away at my jaw and infiltrated my sinus as well.

I got this tooth extracted w/ PRF and ozone, plus a deep cleaning (root planing and scaling) approximately 6 weeks ago and I have had a miraculous turnaround since then.

Prior to this I had been struggling with mostly autonomic nervous system issues that I have always attributed to lyme and co-infections. My most troublesome symptom has always been POTS and a-fib-like vasovagal episodes of tachycardia that would happen multiple times per day when flaring or when feeling better, still 3-4x a week.

The last time I had one of these episodes of tachycardia? The day after my oral surgery six weeks ago. It blows my mind every day that I have gone SIX WEEKS without having one of these extremely frightening episodes when for the past year it was all. the. time! My POTS is also drastically improved. Anxiety drastically improved. I went from being able to only walk around my apartment complex (which was actually a huge win for me a couple months ago as I was previously house-bound.) To being able to walk around my entire neighborhood, and not fear having an episode or low blood pressure hit me while I'm far from home. Its been unreal.

Getting my dental surgery felt like a huge pressure release off of my nervous system. Everything is calming down. I felt the difference almost immediately. I have NO DOUBT hidden dental infections are a huge problem!

I praise God every day for leading me in this direction and I encourage everyone to check in with a biological dentist!!

Where are you located on the east coast? I might be able to help you out with some recommendations if you are near NY.

Well guess this post was an eye opener and can now see the connection between cavity, removal of teeth, clindamycin and augmenting, lyme disease and the whole bone not healing and having the bacteria hang out in a little of pocket. This has happened to me and looking back it all makes sense now.

However, I must also say this guy (a chiropractor) often supports a lot of tests and treatments that are expensive and not always supported by evidence. Still, that's not to say he might not occasionally land on something helpful.
