precursor to lyme??

My husband called a family doctor’s office about getting a lyme & babesia test. The practioner told him on the phone that babesia is a pre-cursor & causes lyme. I’ve never heard that. Is that accurate?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Makes me question this practioner's knowledge of the subject. <sigh>

Unfortunately most traditional doctors are incompetent when it comes to these areas, don’t be afraid to voice your concerns or look elsewhere.

Most of us see a llmd or functional/integrative doctor. If it was a recent bite it wouldn’t hurt to just go to an urgent care for preventative antibiotics.
