Mods - Was our long ivermectin thread deleted ???

Can we pulse the ivermectin for lyme?
I'm afraid to take the whole 12 mg all at once.
Will it be just as effective if I take 3 mg every couple of days? I don't want to risk getting that cerebral hypertension side effect. Thanks.

Insomniaaa - I think that it is wise for Lymies to ease into an IVM regimen, because of the higher potential for a blood-brain barrier problem. I have one myself, and was thankful that I had gone slowly. Oddly- miraculously - when this Covid was at its worst and I needed IVM the most, I was able to take it without undue problems at a normal dosage level. But now I'm back to having reactions again.

I reread the Privacy and Disclaimer, whose link is found at the bottom of each page here, and found it pretty good. Given our toxic societal legal environment, I think it could also stress that we are a peer forum, with no one speaking in a professional capacity, and that each viewer/participant will hold all others harmless.

The Terms say that they appear to all visitors who are not logged in. That is not the case. I just viewed this page in a browser I'm not logged in with, and no Terms appeared. I don't recall ever seeing them before, though I may have when I enrolled a couple of years ago.

Perhaps, to lessen the pressure to cancel controversial content, it would be good to give the Terms more prominence. A short disclaimer with a link to the full terms should appear at the top of every page when people are not logged in. When enrolling with the site, people should be presented with the full Terms, with the disclaimer given prominence, and with a scroll-check to ensure they have been read, and agreement with them should be required before the enrollment can be processed. And the Terms should reappear to members on a periodic basis, say monthly, and have to be agreed to again. These measures would help remind people to read critically and to take responsibility for their own decisions, and they would lessen the legal pressure on both admin and users here.

@JMF84, thanks for asking. I'm actually doing quite well. I was out raking leaves and cutting logs yesterday. Delta is more tenacious than the original strain. I don't know where the line is between the actual virus and dealing with the after-effects, but either way, I'm about 85% over the whole thing, and now am concentrating on rebuilding damaged structures. I've learned a lot from this experience - new drugs, techniques, and supplements, and especially valuable, learning how to modulate herxing so it's manageable while at the same time I can make headway. I have bad moments, mostly due to my dosing learning curve, but the arc has been very positive. I believe I've turned a corner not only on covid, but on lyme. Hope you are well.

@aphysicalwreck - the best I can do is point you to covid19criticalcare.com/. The focus is covid, but you might pick up some helpful dosing info there.

I think I will start with 2 twice a week for the first week or two then maybe up it to 3 a day twice a week.
I’ll see how I do. I only have 20 tablets. I have to find a way of getting more if it seems to help with the first 20.

I asked a dr that I had seen in the past if she would prescribe it for Lyme.

I hear lots of success stories on some fb Lyme groups that I’m on.

The dr was not that familiar with it for Lyme. She said she would look into it and get back to me.

She prescribed only 20 tablets 3 mg each. She
Prescribed it for 2 a day for 10 days.

We tried putting it through insurance and it got denied. At that point she said that she is not really allowed to prescribe it for Lyme so she would not give me anymore after this.

I’m afraid to take 2 a day for 10 days. So I think I will dose it like I said above and if I have no adverse affects and feel I want to continue with it I will have to possibly get more from an online pharmacy if I can.

I have been dealing with Lyme symptoms for years. I’ve tried many protocols. Nothing does the trick. I’m on cellcore right now but I thought maybe ivermectin can help too.

I think llmd MR used to have ivermectin as a treatment - but I don’t see it now on his “Treatlyme”
