I thought bartonella marks were rashes in that they were "red" in color? Curious what others have to say.
No, Bart marks can be red, pink, void of all color (they look more like a scar), or can look like a bruised color on the darker skinned folks.
I'm about
as pale as they come (with freckles though!
), so my Bart marks showed up brilliant red!!
Bart marks can look like scratches (stretch marks) or more like a 'rash'. These are not actual stretch marks though, they are a skin manifestation, much like the bulls eye rash - only I don't know if they can be cultured like a bulls eye rash.
While I continue to use coconut oil on my skin, it never did anything for my Bart marks because it was due to the infection I had, not a skin condition.
Afiya - it could be either. Bart marks usually don't appear the same way as stretch marks on the skin. If you have stretch marks (like from being pregnant), you will see that they kind of 'flow' with the skin - there is a pattern to it all. Bart marks don't necessarily follow that pattern. They cross the skin in ways that stretch marks can't. Did you have any stretch marks in those areas before you believe you were infected? Were you heavy enough (forgive me, don't answer) or were you pregnant and possibly had them?
If you are unsure if you had those marks in those areas before you might have been infected, then it will be hard to tell - unless the marks are at a very odd angle for a stretch mark.
