Dr. Jernigan's Beating Lyme Disease book - quick summary

Thanks for posting this. It's hard for many Lyme people to read (about Lyme). I got this book in 2016 and only read it last summer. It's great to have this summary.

My son has been treated at Hansa three times now and I just got back.

The one thing I want so suggest is please do NOT start with 5 droppers of ANYTHING. Everyone is different and the Jernigan herbs are just like other herbs. Start slow. For example, I'm overly sensitive and only take six drops of each herb, 2x a day as per my Hansa doctor.

Do not even start with ONE full dropper.

Before deciding to go to Hansa, when abx weren't working and other herbs weren't working, I started us on the Jernigan herbs because I heard they are gentle. My son and I were on them for about a year before actually going to Hansa. They work (for us). Our lyme and most cos are gone. We are both dealing with mycoplasma and clean up of the damage done by the Lyme. I now believe we can/will heal. The mindset part is so important. GL everyone.

gerdy - what are the ingredients in Enliv'n?

Is it something specific for lyme treatment?

It is hard to deal with all the information...overload. Sometimes I think that it's causing more nerve symptoms all this focus on lyme and co's.

I went to an N.D. in 2009 who put me on this (Enliv'n) and some alcohol tinctures that were too hard on my liver at the time. He told me never to get off the Enliv'n. Unfortunately, I forgot about it for years but kept the box. A few years after I got the celiac under control, I remembered it. It has helped noticeably. But I do definitely still have lyme which builds up strongly about the 3rd week every month.

I can drink kombucha now, so maybe the alcohol tinctures would work? But I'd rather not be a guinnea pig to myself. I'd like to start with Dr. Jernigan's ACV products but not sure what to order yet.

Girlie, the N.D. didn't make it. Now, I order it directly from Essence of Health for $30 plus tax and delivery. Also, I order 2 boxes at a time for a total of about $68 and take it the 1st week of the month. There are 2 doses per box, so it lasts me for 4 months.

Right, I have borrelia, bartonella, and babesia. I'm just now researching to understand coinfections, so I may not quite understand how lyme is categorized.

It is helping me. I wasn't doing anything for the lyme for years after about 2010 until I started taking it again. My diet was helping me and some basic supplements that will help any disease, basically (Vitamins A,B,D3, magnesium, milk thistle for liver, glutathione and DMAE for brain and headaches, ClearLung for breathing, Algae Omega-3 fish oil, Ashwaganda for stress, and probiotics).

It helped me with fibromyalgia. That's the first thing I noticed. I wasn't in as much pain. My thinking is also better. If I remember correctly, (that was a little bit funny) I did have a little reaction when I first started taking the pills again on the first couple of days of the month for a while. My liver seemed to be a little overloaded. But since then, it also diminishes the worm problem for about 3 weeks. I guess they are hatching about that time?

Now, I'm wanting to not have to deal with lyme and coinfections any more. I think I can do this with a little help.

@cppoly - thanks much for this. Old thread, but it has helped me a lot. A lot of what Jernigan says makes sense to me. I hope you get this and are well.
