Bartonella persisters aren't that difficult to get rid of. Valproate, disulfiram, lopinavir/ritonavir, and atovaquone/proguanil have all been suggested to hit the persisters. The thing you need to be careful of is that waking up the dormant bartonella causes it to become active again, so you need to take a second drug that will kill the active form, otherwise you risk making the infection worse.
I was under the impression Bartonella is one of the most difficult things to get rid off. And that disulfiram doesn't kill Bartonella, just aggravates it.
I raised my houttuynia dosage as a test. I think I'm beginning to herx, which means I was wrong and they still work. I hope so, still not 100 % sure.
Fingers crossed I get really sick the next couple of days. :p
