tmoosky,
Another option is to look for a provider who is part of ISEAI. These providers typically treat patients with environmental illness like mold and Lyme/coinfections. Some treat with herbs, supplements, and other treatments without antibiotics. Some treat with antibiotics. Since you are chronic at this point and sensitive and concerned about
how you will tolerate abx treatment, that may be an option to consider.
Here’s the list. I see 6+ listings in TX.
https://iseai.org/find-a-professional/The ISEAI providers are more likely to treat multiple issues than a traditional LLMD - Lyme/co, mold, heavy metals, nutritional deficiencies, hormones, etc. All that’s good, but some are more pushy than others. Some will not want to treat you unless you do everything they want, which is $$$$ and may not be all that helpful. Others are much more conservative in their recommendations and mindful of patients’ finances and individual needs.
My doc is listed with ISEAI and is a DO. Office visits and (most) tests with specialty labs are out of pocket, but all tests through Labcorp are covered by my insurance and most Rx’s (I’m not on antibiotics) are covered by my insurance. My initial visit was $650-700 and followups are $150-300 (30-45-60 min).
