My thyroid function was always borderline, not enough to be medicated they told me despite symptoms. All of that blood work also depletes us of essential vitamins and nutrients tbh, and there's articles and proof on that. I don't really bother with blood work anymore, not telling anyone else they should stop of course, but that's what I had to do and tbh feel better without all those tubes of blood.
Sorry to be so straightforward but if someone’s thyroid function is borderline they really have no idea what it’s like to be severely hypOthyroid. It can be just as bad as Lyme disease for some people.
And to say or imply that these blood tests are going to hurt us in someway. Lol!!! It’s way better than going hypothyroid.
One can barely function if severely hypo thyroid. I was absolutely, miserable. Your body can basically slow down and cause other huge health problems that can even shorten your life if left untreated.
On the other hand , I envy those who are borderline and can possibly treat this with supplements instead of replacement hormone. Plus that would save money, as thyroid prescript
ion medicine prices are increasing.
