Here I am in a hotel room getting ready to go to a Bryan Adams concert.
I feel so fortunate to be here and feeling well with no pain.
5 years ago I wouldn’t have done this - I was so sick with Lyme.
It was a long haul… treatment was brutal at times but well worth it.

Don’t give up! Keep at it!

That is great. I remember those times where I was able to actually go out and have no worries. Now , for almost 2 yrs, it's all gone to crap. Hopefully I can go out again one day. Keep at it, hopefully nothing goes wrong!

Last spring, I spent 4 months helping set up a large oilfield auction for a good friend's estate. I remember sitting on a forklift one afternoon thinking there is no way I could have done this 3 year ago. Made my 2nd yearly LLMD visit the first of Aug-it's pretty much just a social visit now.

It's so important to take moments to feel gratitude for the good things we're able to do! Life feels extra precious when we know that so many things can be taken from us, and it's helpful to know that our major setbacks - even the ones that last years - can be temporary. We're all really happy for you.

Yesterday a band I love was playing near my house, and while I don't enjoy crowds, and the concert was sold out already by the time I heard about it, I knew of some woods I could cut through to get near the concert venue. So I basically went for a hike by myself and heard everything perfectly! Five years ago, I certainly could not have managed the hike or the heat, and even just standing upright for a few minutes wasn't possible some days. I would not have trusted myself to be alone, either. I'm not in perfect health now, but I try to focus on how much more I can do reliably, relative to five years ago, and yesterday's foray was a good reminder of that!

Your words couldn’t come at a better time. Between Lyme, autoimmune, kidneys, neuropathy, fatigue and stomach issues, even trying seems hopeless.

Not feeling sorry for myself, but realize I have to find a way to change my attitude. Thanks, again.

Loved Brian Adan’s music. Bet that was great.

I just saw your post. I am sorry to hear you're still not doing well. Has there been any improvements since this post?

Yes, Brian Adam's was so good. about month after it, we went to ColdPlay. Bigger (much) venue - it was good but the Brian Adam's was more intimate, if that even makes sense.
