Or use other artificial sweetners? I know we're always looking for answers but I still cannot wrap my brain around how I could have had lyme for almost 30 years and been mostly fine for most of it until this last year. I've tested positive, so yes, I have it... but why now did all of the symptoms take over my body?
I've been reading about aspartame poisioning and I realized that the year prior to me getting really sick, I was, in addition to my 3-5 diet sodas a day (for the past 25 years), and equal in coffee, was chewing about 20 pieces of sugar free gum(this was a new habit that just started a couple of years ago).
I'm just trying to figure all this out.. and I know there are so many hypes out there... but out of curiousity, how many of you use sugar free products regularly or have in the past?
Thanks all!
I believe some artificial sweeteners are believed to affect the thymus, which would be a really risky thing for us since that gland is responsible for stimulating parts of our immune system.
I've totally sworn off artificial sweeteners of any kind. I use Stevita brand refined stevia in my protein drinks, and I don't drink sodas of any kind.
