I first put weight on about 20lbs - and then I lost 60 lbs ( and all my hair) prior to diagnosis : I am now back to my normal weight ( I am 5'8" and 130lbs) . Nuts were my saving grace !!! I consumed handfuls a day - even when I felt I couldn't eat anything I could manage almond butter in a smoothie. Hope this helps !
( NB Whole nuts are better , obviously without salt. Nut halves or pieces can harbor fungi and yeasts )
