Minocycline side effects or herx???

I started taking mino about a week ago and now I am experiencing terrible fatigue. It isn't my normal everyday fatigue but just really tired to the point all I can do is lay in bed. I don't think it is a herx because I don't feel bad just unbelievable tiredness. I was having the same problem with doxy/zithro so I was switched to mino.

If this was a herx I would feel better about continuing it but if it is just a bad side effect then I am not sure what to do. Has anyone had problems with mino?

Fatique is part of lyme in such a big way. So most people have the terrible fatique all the time.
But the mino. did knock me on my ass too. Gosh, I am trying to remember now..how much I was on..duhh....I think it was like 200 mg twice a day along with the hydrochro..can't spell it. the one for Maleria.
How much are you on?
I got really ill after being on mino like in the first week. I posted it with the german meds. Idid it for 50 days....and i herxed badly.
yeah come to think about it..I slept like 12 hours a day..could barely shower. yeah..I went to bed at 8pm, slept 14 hours...dragged myself out of bed...and then needed a nap, but of course as tired as you feel..cannot actually fall asleep with of drugs..and after you sleep, you are not rested at all...
really sucks....
I cannot remember when it got better...lol...You will find that you do not remember all of this week to week. so keep a journal of how you feel...dates.. and meds.

I am just not sure if I should continue taking it..I have to work and the way I feel makes it impossible. I am taking 100mg twice a day. Maybe I will cut back to one and see what happens. I am also on plaquenil and malarone.

I am just sooo tired way beyond my regular lyme fatigue. It isn't sleepy tired so even when I lay down I can't sleep so I am pretty miserable. I have to go in to work today and hopefully I will be able to make it through. I do keep a journal and it is very helpful when I can remember to write in it.

I am going to fax the doctor tomorrow for his opinion since I really don't think this is a herx.
