I cant get this under control. I cant even tolerate most pants or shorts, anything that pulls on that area when I sit. Walking any faster than a pathetic wander for more than a minute, riding the stationary bike....which I did during the year of hell when I couldnt climb a stair or do anything....And now that other things can tolerate more, my groin pain is keeping me doing even LESS. Anyone else have this symptom? Is it a lyme symptom??

Yes, groin pain is a lyme symptom. My sister has this symptom and wearing clothes is a big issue for her too. It is a symptom for both men and women.

I think an anti inflamtory diet helps her pain. As well as just lyme treatment in general. It has lessoned since she has been in treatment, but it's still an issue after almost 3 years.

I can't believe that I just read this. I have been having groin pain since Friday when I started my 2nd new antibiotic. Night sweats have returned also and insomnia. I am just hoping it's a Herx and will go away.

Groin pain was never a symptom of mine. I hope it doesn't last long it is very painful.

I hate Lyme and Co. I just want it all gone already.

Early on I started out with groin pain. It felt like I had a golf ball inside each side of

my groin. I begged for help and wanted the pain to stop. Urologist decided I needed a hernia surgery. It hurt so bad so I went for it. I just wanted the pain to stop.

The surgery messed me up by creating a hydro seal on the right side. The surgeon said in his report that the tissue was grossly attenuated. The pain did not go away so the urologist said we should do the other side. I was not going for it and went for a second opinion. The next surgeon checked me out and said I did not have a hernia and would not perform a surgery on my.(Thank God)

The area that had the surgery continued to have the pain and what felt like stuff crawling around on a feeding frenzy for months after.

A few months later I developed pain in my spine,vision problems,hair falling out, vasulites.bloated belly and many other problems that still continue to this day.

Lyme is a tissuary disease and can cause serious inflammation.

I never had a hernia and wish I had never went through the surgery.

I don't know how to help you but be very very careful of what doctors will want to do with you.

Thanks!!! Goldpan...that is terrible! Unfortunatey you are definitely not the first lyme person I have had tell me they had unnecessary surgery. Early on, I was scheduled for knee surgery, when my swollen knee was my only obvious symptom. Somehow we decided against it, thank God. I won't go search for answers on this one. I actually stopped going to physical therapy when this started bc after dealing with other pain symptoms for 2 years and physical therapists, I figured this time I wasn't even going to try and physical therapy this away. My body was just screaming at me NOT to push it, or stretch it, or work it....I knew the pain would only increase. I have all the other symptoms you listed as well, Goldpan!!! What co-infections are you diagnosed with? Twingirl, thanks for sharing about our sister, bc the clothes thing I still can't believe. I keep thinking how can these clothes be causing so much of a problem? But I guess when my knees were bad, I couldnt tolerate jeans tugging on them. NOw my knees can wear anything, but my groins are just going to keep me in nightgowns and dresses I guess.... Ria...mine started about a week or 2 into my first month of diflucan, I am wondering if I will have any relief when I go off diflucan and try the mepron/zithro. I am also thinking if biaxin and plaquenil would help bc the plaquenil is used to treat rheumatold arthritis. Anyway, thanks everyone, once again I am not crazy!
