So last night around 9, I added Rifampin into the mix w/doxy and plaquenil and arteminisin... i woke up at 4 in the morning and my pulse was racing and i had body tremors.. could the meds really effect me that fast after only a 300 mg pill??

yes.... my first and only herx so far came whem taking Rifampin. I lasted 10 days and then had to stop. After that I was GREAT and NORMAL for about 3-4 days.... then I started to relapse.

so you only took it for ten days? when did the herx start after taking the medicine? i just didnt think a herx could begin after just one pill... also my "herxing" symptoms seemed more babesia like in nature than bartonella.. it was the heart pounding and internal shaking

Hi hezzer926,

When I first started Flagyl; I swear I herxed within the first couple hours. We all react differently to treatments. Some herxs sooner than other, some never do.
