CD-57

This stupid CD57 test comes up all the time and none of us can ever figure out what the numbers mean. If you have it done by Quest the numbers mean something different than the same test done by LabCorp.

I have a CD57 of 3... I can't remember which lab was used... I just know that a CD57 of "3" is not a good sign.

Have your doctor completely explain the CD57 test AND your results so you know exactly what you're dealing with.

Then you will proceed to forget everything and when the next person asks this question, you'll know how to answer it..... (I have a severely wicked sarcastical sense of humour, brought on by chronic LD... which, according to the IDSA, does not exist.)

From what I read in the Burrascano report, it's good to have a base line CD 57 early in treatment so you can compare levels down the line of treatment. It helps with evaluating remission are ending treatment.

I haven't had mine done yet, but I'm going to have my LLMD order it. It sounds like it's a cheap test and can be useful down the road.
