Hello-
A couple weeks ago you answered a question I had about chronic lyme with this response:
I had wondered this too. I was only sick for a month before my diagnosis. However, according to my LLMD, I have chronic lyme.. she said this is indicated by my CD-57 test. She said I've had it for at least 6 months.. hard to swallow considering I didn't have any symptoms.. it must have been dormant, and been activated by stress or something, but anyways, she said since my CD 57 test showed low numbers, i have chronic lyme.
I talked to my doctor about this and he ordered that test. I had it done with other bloodwork yesterday and am awaiting the results. Thank you so much for this informaiton!! It was truly helpful and I don't think my doctor would have done that test if I hadn't asked for it.
My doctor is recommending that I start on IV antibiotics and is referring me to another doctor to do this. What is this like? Do you have to be in the hospital for this? I'm guessing that since they're sort of trying to figure out where I'm at that I won't be on IV abx long term - at least not to start. Can anyone tell me maybe what I should expect or what I should know beforehand?
Keep your heads up everyone!! Hang in there!
