There are a lot of different strains of Bart, so to only test for 2 and then rule out Bart based on negative results seems irresponsible. That said, most of the experts seem to think the CD57 only is suppressed in lyme, not the coinfections (anybody know of any research supporting this assertion?).
VEGF is a test that is often elevated in those with Bart., so that may be another test to try to get done.
