My dr. just called me with my results from IGx.  He said they where negative. He said that I was exposed to a tick bite but it wasn't active.  I'm currenly seeing a nuro and was told that I have parkisons.  My nuro said he really did'nt understand the test results and wanted to talk to an Infectious diease dr, and said he would probley say the say thing!!!  I don't have a copy yet of my results. Any suggestions out there?  should i just drop this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!  Thanks

GET YOUR HANDS ON A COPY OF THOSE RESULTS.

You could be missing 1 IGG band or 1 IGM band and be diagnosed as "Negative". You could be IGM positive and missing 1 band on the IGG and be diagnosed as "Negative". You could be within the "realm" of a positive LD diagnosis... but you won't know until you get the results. AND - AS USUALLY WRITTEN UNDER THE TEST RESULTS; they acknowledge that the test could be wrong and/or that a clinical diagnosis should be a determining factor in making an accurate diagnosis.

Let us know what you see on the results once you get them.

Just to let you know. I've known quite a few who were sent home with a grim parkinsons diagnosis. This was a very scary fate with no cure for them. They later went on to find out it was tick born infections.
