My 4 yr old twins show signs of Lyme

From everything I have read, I would say absolutely. Get them tested asap, I would-

I did not know I had lyme when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had not even heard of lyme nor did I know any of the symptoms. She had problems with her health from the start, we saw many specialists, and NOBODY ever even suggested that she might have lyme. Her symptoms really got much worse at puberty, and we started going down the long "doctor trail" to get a diagnosis. It took several years of grief, frustration, $$ etc. to finally find a llmd and get a diagnosis. By then, I suspected I had it too, so we both were tested and found to be positive. We have been trying to beat this for over two years now. As the saying goes, I wish I had known then what I know now. My girlfriend has a similar story.

From what I have read, it IS possible to transmit lyme to the baby during pregnancy. I think it would be wise to see an llmd that is familiar with treating children. If nothing else, it will give you peace of mind.

Where are all  of you finding this information on LD being passed during pregnancy? Is there actual research? Or just a lot of talk?

Just to name a couple.  This helps clear some of the rhetoric you may find yourself up against.  Laying credible science on the table always causes a pause in the most challenging educational discussions regarding the borrelia travesty.  But, I've never had a doc turn a copy of the science down yet; and the temperature of the conversation always reaches a turning point when the science is most respectfully presented.
