Thanks for checkin' in on the old girls! 
We are here. I have more difficulty jumping on b/c of the size of the mission field (as we call it now) here in PA and nationally. On average 20-30 calls/emails each week of serious, hurting, suffering, you know the story - cases. We serve to educate and as patient to physician liaison's across the nation - they just keep coming; and we are committed to sharing the truth. It is a bittersweet blessing to meet so many amazing families, physicians, researchers and then to realize that the travesty and suffering continues. A blessing to see children and grown ups receive the proper dx and care. Even though setbacks seem to be part of the political warfare nature of this disease, I see the changes slowly coming - th' old tide that's turning...
I do miss connecting w/so many of you; I hop on late at night sometimes and try to catch up. HW has grown and changed in many ways over this past year. Each 'generation' comes along and in their quest to understand, become the voice to help others.
Tremendous research ongoing and unfolding. Agonozingly slow; but steady.
I will tell Ticker you asked about her. She will appreciate that very much.
Heth has come a long way; 2 steps forward one back vs. 2 forward, 2 back. The co-infections have deadly frightening consequences when they rear their ugly heads; but we are blessed with our team of specialists and she continues to be a role model for Lyme kids and teens as her brain remediates and her body strengthens. She is our all natural girl now; completely drug resistent. This puts her in that end stage classification; but it is certainly not the definition of her prognosis. We just keep learning how to approach from different paradigms to outsmart what lies within.
