tight band feeling round trunk,driving me nuts

Hi to everyone I am cha cha, I have been reading all your posts trying to find out

about Lyme disease.  three months ago my mom had a shock like feeling from her neck

Down her arms and then her legs within 1 hour she had lost all her strength.

Paramedics took her to hospital 3 hours later she was paralyzed from the neck down.

The next day she started getting some feeling back, then it happened again the shock from her neck shoulders down the arms and legs

Then the paralysis. two weeks later she is walking with a stick .she had 2 MRI scans, 2 CT scans,

2 lumber punctures and lots of blood tests. one test was borderline positive for Lyme. They

Done another blood test and it was positive for Lyme. Next she had three weeks antibiotics

Everyday, now she has lumps of numbness all over her body and a very tight band feeling round

her trunk,ankles,legs, and when she sits down its like sitting on stones.

The worse thing is the tight feeling round her trunk as it gets so tight she finds it hard to breath.

Her medication is baclofen, diazepam. Can anyone relate to this ? Please help me understand  what is happening to my mom   much appreciated Cha Cha  

Judy I thank you for responding to my cry for help My mom’s heart is normal her blood pressure is Normal.
She has inflammation of the spinal cord The MRI scan showed a mass about 35mm long The doctors thought it could be a tumor, or inflammation They gave her steroids for three days and watched over her for the next two weeks, then she was sent to another hospital
she had lots of tests done all of them were normal. Second MRI last week after her three weeks of antibiotics And the mass was now 8mm in length. Good news She was discharged. Her symptoms are Muscle cramps, tight band round chest, legs, ankles,
Tingling feet and hands, numb bottom, very week and tired, balance, depression. I don’t think these sounds like Lyme I think it sounds like Transverse Mylites what is your opinion. CHA CHA

My mum was discharged with no plan, she had a team called the Iris team call on her a couple of times a week for one month.
this team was a nursing sister,occupational therapist,physiotherapiste,rehabilitation assistant. NO medication as they did not know
what was wrong with her,it was when she got home they phoned us about a blood test they had done for lyme. The only reason
they done this test was my mum had several bits on her leg. It came back positive borderline so they done another one after her three week
coarse that was positive. she had a mri scan of the brain and spinal cord they found fluid at the top of her brain so she is having CTscans every month to keep an eye on that.the DR said this was due to the lumber puncture . I will start a new post as you have advised me to find a Lyme DR
