I was answering to your posting about your panic attack, I am dorit.

I contacted the local lyme support group by email two days ago trying to give you a helping hand with treatment because I stay in Europe too.

I can imagine that those panic attacks are horrible. I pray that you will get better as quickly as possible!

then come here when you need to talk; we will listen to you and we do understand what you are going through! and I am sure that a lot of people will try to give you some kind and helping words - you are NOT alone!!! I am also sure that you will get better with treatment.

And there are a lot of doctors who say that anxiety and panic attacks are definitely among lyme symptoms as Lyme loves the nervous system.

 This is good news (that you can see this doc) and bad news (waiting sooooo long) together! Could you have a testing for co- infections in the meanwhile maybe with this old doc (who does not believe in lyme)?

I have no idea how you in Hungary manage the stuff with health insurance, now we are europe- united but hardly know anything of one another.... maybe diseases are going to chance that...LOL!

Can you try to rest and relax, take as many vitamines as possible, eat as healthy as possible, try to establish a functional sleeping rhythm, just everything that supports your immune system and help your body to detox. 

A lot of people here use things like samento for a natural approach; maybe you could ask directly.

Can you take antibiotics or are you allergic to them?

I am sorry that you feel so bad! Possible co-infections may be ehrlichiosis, bartonella, babesia.

Did you tell the new doc how bad you are?? Did he give you any advice what you could do (or should do) in the meanwhile?

I took something similar to Hepabene (help liver to detox) and Human Gammaglobuline (useful when the body is too week to fight infection or somebody cannot take abx etc.)
Do you have insurance to cover the costs for some of those meds the doctor said you could take until you get the bloodtest results? Did the doc say why he does not test for co infections and why he will give you abx only for 4-8 weeks?

Nobody can predict if you will have a lot of herxing; but there are meds to help with this too.

It is very necessary to detox properly when you fight lyme !!!! When the bacteria is dying in your body it releases poison which causes symtoms similar to lyme itself; detoxing helps the body to get rid of this and recover.

There is a thread called " Detoxing??" from yesterday (8:07 am) with some good instructions form Deejavu; There are many many herbs which help a lot with detoxing and work antibacterial too; some are not very expensive and can be bought at a pharmacy or natural food shops as teas. With some you can even cook like with turmeric.
