She has not posted her own note here, nor has she given me permission to disclose any info on her, but with the situation she's in medically right now, she might appreciate peoples' "good vibes" coming her way.

Hi Everyone,

I was in the hospital b/c I had a blood clot in the lower lobe of my lung! Not sure where it came from I imagine it was from the removal of my old picc that i had in for a little over a year and then they tried to force a new line back in the same hole and no luck so we had to put a new one in the right arm!

Sunday woke up took my oral meds, drank water and BAM horrible chest pain on the left side! I knew something was not right so off to the ER we went! They did an X-Ray and a CT Scan with Contrast and I ended up with a blood clot! So where it came from I have no idea nor do they! They Admitted me and started Lovenox shots in the belly 2 times a day. They hurt like the dickens! I am also on Coumadin! I begged the Dr. to let me go home yesterday if I did the shots to myself! So they let me out!!! Yeah!!!! I got no sleep it was every 4 hours knock, knock!

I am feeling ok, tired and I am having a lot of difficulties peeing. Sorry to be so graphic but this just started yesterday! I am on IV Tygacil and oral Flagyl. SO I am not sure what is up with the unrinary incontinance! If anyone has any thoughts or ideas I am all ears!!!!

So that is basically it! I just thank god it did not end up in my heart or my Brain!!!! The Angels were looking out for me!

Thank you Sierra for not divulging the info without my permission! I am an open book though and don't care b/c I feel we all learn from each other! I just talked to Georgiagirl earlier and her arm has been aching really bad. I told her to go to the hospital and have an Ultrasound! She went last week and they refused to do an Ultrsound. After she heard my story today she was so upset and went to a different hospital and I told her to demand an Ultrasound! What Dr. denies and Ultrasound to a person with a picc line????? Anyway so now we need to pass the prayers on to her!

I will keep you updated on her situation! Ya know you can never been to sure.

I appreciate everyone's prayer and concerns! It was scary but everyone made it much easier!!!!!

oh Diane.

I am so sorry. I thought you were still recouperating from the forum.
You dear woman! You've been through another storm!!!
I am so glad you did not just 'write it off' as a Lyme symptom that 'will pass'.


Please let your doc know that you are having difficulty with urination!
I will be praying for you every day until your sweet energy bunny self emerges.

Thank you all, still dealing with the Pulmonary Embolism!

It is not shrinking and the blood is not thinning as quickly as they would like! It only went from a 1 to a 1.3 in 5 days. I see a long road ahead! I am very discouraged and have been feeling like crap! Very fatigued, shortness of breath and nausea. I was back in the ER 2 days after hospital released me and that was when they realised it was not thinning quick enough! They upped my dosage so I have to get tested tomorrow so we will see where I am on my Ptt/INR test! I am really hoping thinnner blood will make me feel better.

They say Hypercoagulation prevents you from healing and the bacteria hides in the fibrin in the vlood vessels! I always feel like my blood vessels are constricted. Sounds weird but true. If anyone has any experience with Blood Clots in the lungs please let me know! I am interested to hear your story.

Diane, I am very sorry you are going through this and feeling worse because of it.  From what I understand, Lyme can cause clotting problems in some people.  Your Lyme doctor knows what it is going on right?

I hope you feel better soon.  Hang in there okay?

Just and update to everyone, I am still dealing with this PE and Hypercoagulation. I had my levels up to 1.4 and then this past Monday I had my blood drawn again and it dropped to 1.0. Theraputic range for someone like me is between 2 and 3 so I have a ways to go. I was at 1.0 when I was in the hospital!

I am seeing a very good Hematologist tomorrow. I am preying he can help me. Sjourner, I cannot take any herbs while on Coumadin there are so many things that counteract with that medicine I have to be so careful!!! I can't even eat Broccoli! I do appreciate your prayers.

Amey- I miss you girl I posted to you on another post you had going. I hope you are doing well! I have not heard or seen many post about you or your health and your treatment so I am just hoping things are moving forward!

Everyone on this board is so sweet and I swear you begin to become like family after a while! The things we go through I often feel like one is going through it but so is everyone else because of the constant support! I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated it. Especially Georgiagirl she is always calling and checking on me no matter how bad she feels she is always thinking of others! Actually that goes for everyone!

I will update you all tomorrow after I get back forom my appointment! I know he is going to want to put me back on the Lovenox shots but at this point I will do whatever I have to, to get rid of this or improve the situation!

I started to have some pretty sharp chest pains today on the right side so this appointment can not come any sooner!!!!
