how do i know which doctor

i have been to many doctors and as i am in california there is a limited amount of lymes doctors. i have been with my current doctor (a big specialist in San Francisco) for 2 years and i have gotten dramatically worse, his method is to test and then give me large doses of antibiotics for +4 months. the tests showed progress even though my symptoms did not change, however in the last 6 months i have go much worse, i rarely leave my bed now and before i was going to all my classes, a fifteen min walk away.
the new doctor i am looking at treats with antibiotics as well as alternative treatments, he also tries to support the immune system and over all body health.
my question is who do i choose, i have yet to find any doctor who has actually made me feel better, i am about to loose my insurance once i graduate in june.
i figure i have 50/50 chance of making the right choice any advice?

I am sorry you are so sick. Have you been tested for all the co-infections? This is important. Sometimes when progress is halted, it is because of an unaddressed co-infection. What did your first doctor say about you getting worse?

I think it is good you have gotten another opinion. I think a combination of antibiotics and alternative treament and supporting the immune system is a good plan. Do you like the second doctor? Does he seem knowledgeable? Does he have a lot of Lyme patients? Since the first doctor did not seem to address your worsening symptoms, why not give the second one a try?

Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! I am sure it has been very difficult going to class when you are so sick.
