I was diagnosed with lyme a few years ago. about 2 years ago started having problems with swollen lyme nodes in my neck and clavical area. Now the lymph nodes are becoming horribly itchy. Its an itch in the inside and nothing makes it go away. Anyone having this problem?

You have lymph nodes all over your body. I had a lymph flush done about twice a week during my treatment in AZ. It sort of clears them out, like old pipes of plumbing.
If they are irritating you it could be because they are clogged. And if so they would be colgged with the bad stuff that your body wants to rid itself of.
See if you can get the flush done to them all. It takes about 30 minutes.

Have you seen a GP or internal medicine doc about this? You might want to just to make sure it's nothing more serious. Not to scare you, but I developed a type of lymphoma from being sick with lyme for so long (I think). It's just cutaneous lymphoma (on my skin only), but they always check my lymph nodes for swelling when I go in to the doctor.

I have been having Lymph swelling for a few months now. I told my LLMD about it and he doesn't seem concerned. It seems to have started after I took a high dose of amoxicillian for a bladder infection. But....I did have problems with them swelling in m neck a few years ago. Now they are swelling in my neck and under my arms. I wonder if I should have them checked out. Did you have a biopsy done to give you a diagnosis? I'm kinds starting to get worried. I do have a few of the symptoms but Lyme symptoms are pretty much the same too.

Did you run fever? I've been running a low fever off and on since August of last year.

I think it's very unlikely that anyone here actually has lymphoma, so don't get scared, but I just think swollen lymph nodes are something that should get checked out! My cutaneous lymphoma was diagnosed with skin biopsies, since I get lesions on my skin. To make sure my lymph nodes weren't involved then, they did a PET CT scan. They said to look out for swollen lymph nodes, though, because that COULD be a sign of a more systemic problem. I never had any fever or anything else like that (other than all my lyme symptoms, of course!). If your LLMD isn't concerned, you're probably ok, but it might be worth mentioning it to a GP if you have one.

Thanks for replying. I have enough going on now with Lyme Disease and thyroid problems. Having Lymphoma scares me. I guess if it continues, I will see my GP. I'm just starting treatment so I guess I should give it a chance.

Hi Cajun. I just stumbled on this thread and read your post and feel the need to reply. And I'm not trying to scare at all by this, but I do think you should get at least a blood test done for your white blood cell count. I'm a lymphoma survivor as of 2008 and it started with swelling nodes in my neck then underarms which wouldn't go away after months. I started having night sweats every night as well and lost about 10 pounds over a few months. Anyway, I just think it would be good to go to your GP, tell him your symptoms and see What surfaces. It could be an infection which just needs antibiotics. Bah, definitely don't want to scare but had to say something!

I had swollen glands/nodes in my neck that were extremely painful-- couldn't even move my head. It took three days to clear up and I had a migraine with it too.

I had been on antibiotics for several months when it happened and had just switched from Doxy to a high dose of Amoxicillin.

For me this was either a major herx or a new Lyme symptom cropping up. Could be the same for you. But great advice from othr posters.

Thankfully, it was a one time thing for me and has not returned.

I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and during pms...in the armpits. I also have night sweats like crazy. I have mentioned both to my GP and llmd and neither of them are concerned. My GP's father had lymphoma, so Im thinking that if she's not concerned maybe I need to stop worrying about it so much, as it stresses me out TERRIBLY!!

i always have a big swollen lymph node on the right side of my neck below my jawline. It can sometimes be pretty painful and when it gets really bad, it itches just like you said.

Wish I knew a way to get rid of it. I was thinking about ordering some bulk activated charcoal to help detox my lymph system.

what does a "lymph flush" entail?
