What happened to the original children from Lyme, Connecticut???

I wass just trying to find information about the children that got this whole LD thing going. Does anyone know what their situations are? Please let me know. thanks, amey

I was trying also after reading your post; nothing so far, also nothing in German and nothing in the online cataloque of the local universities (they have a lot about lyme though). It would be interesting to know; maybe a local support group could find out more?? greetings, dorit

I REALLY want to know how these people were treated and how they feel now. This information would answer a lot of questions that we have, or atleast I have.

I will try to dig deeper into this; I see a friend at the end of May who works in an archive section related to medical history; she maybe knows where to look for this. I am also very very curious.
I sent an email to our national Lyme association asking if they know sth about those children, they seem to have a lot archived too. I will let you know their answer. There should be something!

They are all actually "alien abductees". They have fulfilled their "mission" and are probably currrently living normal lives.

Hi all, here is a quick update on the topic: I got an answer to my original email from the national (german) lymeboard saying that one of the women who had got Lyme has two daughers who have already become doctors themselves. They have been interviewed by the lady who sent me this answer. The interview is printed in one of the Lymeboard`s magazines. I am not at home this week but as soon as I am back and had some time to get a copy and read through it, I will give you further details. Greetings to all and have a good week!! dorit

I recall reading a post about it a couple of years ago (not sure where).
The poster was walking their dog in the woods around New Haven or Lyme and struck up a conversation with a walker on the trail.
During the conversation they started talking about the illness and the lady mentioned that that she was one of the kids in the original Lyme study.
I think that woman was in good health and leading a productive life but still tested positive for Lyme. Apparently doctors were still offering her abx but she refused because she felt mostly fine. The only problem she had was that everytime she had the cold or flu in college she would be sick more than the average person.
She did though have concerns about eventually trying to get pregnant since the blood tests are still positive.
