My daughter was recently diagnosed with this. She also have MVP, chest pains all the time, numbness, some joint pain, fatigue, headaches, and the list continues. Since she is the only person in our house that didn't have Lyme when we all got tested a couple of years ago I am wondering if she is now positive (well she had one band positive and 3 IND but not really any symptoms back then).
I was just wondering if anyone has had this condition and these kind of "heart" problems. I know I used to get palpitations and some chest pain, so thought maybe this could be associated with Lyme?!?! I just sent an email off to Igenex to get a kit sent to me to have her tested.
Thanks everyone - Blessings to all!

Yes..I had orthostatic hypotension..a specific type called POTS. It's very common with lyme, bart and babs. I had fatigue and a lot of heart problems. Notice I say had..after 2 years of abx, they pretty much went away!

Yes, I had sudden drops in BP in the very beginning, the doctors then didn't even address it. I would have her checked for sure.

I also had orthostatic hypotension (feeling faint or dizzy after getting up) for many years but with treatment for lyme and co-infections it has for the moat part gone away. Lately I suspect Babesia is returning and I slightly feel faint for a moment when I get up from sittting, so I put myself on malerone this time instead of mepron (I have a box of medicines from years of treatment) and it is getting better again after only 4 days on it. So perhaps it is Babesia related for me. I will stay on it till I see my LLMD next month.

Me too. I also have MVP. She may need a stress test and echocardiogram to make sure that her heart can handle the meds; if she's going to be on them for any length of time.
I was on Biaxin and Cipro for a while, which gives you worse palpatations than you already had. So I needed the cardiac workup.
Also, make sure she's drinking tons of water. It will help with the hypotension and the dizziness when standing.
Good luck with the IGenx test.
