Local paper does a story on me!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I finally got someone to listen. And listen did he for over 45 minutes! The disppointing thing was I gave him sooooooooo much information, shocking information and all he came up with from me were 2 quotes that basically said the same thing. But hey I got coverage that's the point,right? So if you wanna check it out and see what I look like cuz I am plastered all over the front page of the Health section check it out.....

Gretchen, this is awesome! Great job! The more we can get this stuff into the media, the sooner this disease will be taken more seriously!

How did you get the interview? Did they look for a patient or did you inform them.

Most important, I am very sorry about your illness. It is so unfair that so many years of our lives are ruined by a disease that our kindest PCPs don't know how to diagnose and treat, and in which the rest don't believe.

  Weary, one of my business partners had a client in that works out my local paper and he was fishing for some new stories that the reporters could cover and she told him about me and then called me while he was in the salon. It  took about a month for the reporter to get back to me but here it is in black and white LOL.

Congrats Gretchen!! Great article!! It's nice to see someone getting the word out. I think I may give Montel a call when I start feeling better. The world needs to know about this disease.

        I am not sure exactly which abx took the confusion and memory problems away. I have been on abx for over 3 years and so many different combos. It took me about 18 months to start feeling human again.

        As far as my vision issues I had blurred vision, high pressures(glaucoma suspect), waviness around my peripheral vision and tons of floaters. These have all cleared up with treatment, mostly with Mepron for Babesia.

 My Babs symptoms were my vision problems, air hunger(short of breath),rib pain to name a few. I had to do 7 rounds of Mepron (3 weeks on 1 week off) to get rid of symtoms.I haven't had to treat Babs in probably 18-24 months. Good luck!Peace!
