Hubby has been given this diagnosis at least a couple of times.
In my personal opinion -- don't buy into this nonsense. It just means that not only are the medical doctors confused, but the psychologists are confused as well.
Or you might be labeled with a conversion disorder or as a hypochondriac or even with pseudoseizures.
Especially if psycotropic meds make you worse and you have not yet found a physical cause for your symptoms.
Or another favorite is anxiety/depression.
Balancing amino acids is a big part of balancing brain chemistry with tickborne diseases, but in my opinion nutritional supplementation and herbs work much better than psychotropic meds and are much less likely to cause side effects.
Hubby had 3 psych admits early in his illness so we have way to much personal experience dealing with this stuff.
