Does Dr. J's Clinic take INSURANCE???

I see Dr J. They do not take insurance but they give you a claim statement to send to your insurance for out of network payment,they are excellent at giving the right codes to the insurance! I dont know of many LLMD that do take insurance!!

It was said NOT to post the link or any Dr.'s name directly. However, PM'ing of information is totally fine.

We need to protect all our precious LLMD's out there. While I know you can google this clinic and find it....at least the HW forum is not putting it out there.

I believe that is what I said above.

I wanted it to be clear that PM'ing of such information is appropriate.

I wanted it clear to posters that they can ask for such information: Dr.'s names etc, and it could be PM'd to them.

We just should not post full names of LLMD on the forum...nor when someone is asking for a Dr. in a particular area where they live should we post it, rather it should be sent in a PM.

I do not feel anyone was "bad" as you put it. Rather we need to follow certain rules as well as protect our LLMD's whenever and wherever possible.

I have a question for the moderators and apologize if it seems like an ignorant one. If so, I'll blame it on the brain fog. lol Anyway, I understand that we should not post doctor's name for their protection but in the case of those like Jemsek who have web sites and publicize that they treat Lyme, should this still apply?

Very good question Scorpio! We too struggled with that issue as well. I raised the very same question as you.

It really comes down to being careful what we put out there. It can be seen as we are promoting this Dr. (which was not the case here whatsoever), in the past, and not necessarily on the Lyme forum, there was a Dr. that got very mad his information was being discussed on an open forum and made some legal threats towards the ownership of HW.

It is a very fine line we all have to walk, and while I agree it does not seem quite right when they put their own website out there for all to see, we really cannot put their names, or web sites in print here on the forum.

As stated before, PM'ing this information is very acceptable!

People on this forum talk about this doctor all the time. It is how I learned of his name. sorry all!!

It should not say Dr. J's clinic name...we have been trying to figure out how to edit a Topic heading...and have yet to.

It may come to where we have to delete the thread altogether.
 

We really do not want to make this a big deal, we just all need to remember no Dr.'s full names and no links if they have a website..at least posted in print for all to see.

That goes for all types of LLMD's..mainstream or alternative.

We will all learn and muddle thru this together! smilewinkgrin

Does anyone really know how much Lyme cost? 

The best years of one's life....your children's best years.....one's marriage....... over 10k (so far)........your ability to earn  a living.......the belief of 99% of the MD's that are not Lyme Literate.....

No disrespect to the forum but sounds a little like back door abortion in the 50's?

But most of all, your health!

My second mortgage has been approved so I have an appointment (with the doc we can't mention).  My last 2 years of treatment with Dr.____ here in Fl have actually gone well BUT SLOW!

Let's all say sarcasm together!  I really do appreciate all the info and the support of you guys!  It will not take my sense of humor!

lets not foeget the folks like me who do not have any way of getting treatment do to founds or lack of Drs, we lose our lives. or the hope of haven our lives back. sarcasm oh yah i have more then enough of it..LOL

I understand everyones frustration about posting doctors names but I ask all of you out of respect of these doctors to only post initials. If you need to find a doctor, Ticker can help you find one in your area. You can email her for details. Thank you all for understanding.

Amey, realize that first appointments are the most expensive.  They are usually fairly long, comprehensive, and a lot of testing is done.  Follow-ups are usually a lot less, so be sure to ask about follow-up costs also.  Many doctors will spread out appointments and/or do phone appointments in-between for patients who have to travel.
