I am definitely having a Lyme Cycle

Besides the sore throat, more frequent muscle twitching, add spasms in too, head jerks, worsening of muscle/joint pain, more floaters, crying spells, depression, anger.....I now have swollen lymph nodes in my neck and a fever. My neck is so stiff that I can barely move it.

I've also been having bad neurological symptoms again. I don't know if they're jerks or spasms but my arm will jerk, then it goes down to my hands and my fingers will get stuck and stretch out on their on. It's very weird and scary and I cannot control it. Plus I'm twitching all over with head jerks included. They last for about 10 minutes, then calm down. Granted, I usually twitch all day but that episode is crazy! I feel like my body is going out of control and I feel weird in the head like I will have a seizure.

I'm going to film it when it happens again and bring it to my doctor to see. Maybe I'll post it somewhere so you all can see and tell me what you think.

I'm so miserable:(

Hi CajunGrl.  It sounds like the meds are really stirring things up.  You are kicking some Bb butt and the bacteria are not happy!

How long have you been on the Amoxicillin now?

Hang in there okay?

Sorry to hear that you are having a rough time of it. I am herxing a little bit myself at the moment. I too am on Amoxicillin 1000mg./twice daily. I hope things start getting better for you soon!

Amoxicillin is a weak medicine to treat lyme. I'm not sure whey they would give you that as a lyme treatment. In terms of abx, it is one of the weaker ones. I know this because when I was pregnant it was the only one I could take to avoid passing lyme to the baby but it was safe for us because it was the weakest. I could not take any of the other abx that I was previously on for lyme.

I hope it works, but I think you could be on better treatments. Just my opinion.

She's verrrrrrrry sensitive to meds so I think that's why she's on what she's on. :(

Jeminij: Yes, like Jen said...I am extremely sensitive to Antibiotics. I start herxing like an hour after I take them no matter what they are. He actually had started me on Biaxin and Mepron but it was way too much for my body to take. So, I'm gonna start off slow and try to build up to taking the Biaxin and Mepron again.

My God how it breaks my heart to read what your going through CajunGrl.

You should be in the hospital and not have to endure this without medical intervention.

Thanks hun. It seems to be better today but I'm off of my antibiotics, so I think that's why it calmed down a bit.

I hate hospitals! I would not go back there unless I was dying.

CG, I just hate that you are going through this. Who would have thought treatment could be so darn difficult. Have you considered trying any of the herbal protocols like Zhang's. I don't know much about them but maybe your herxes wouldn't be so bad. Just a thought.

I appreciate your compassion. You are a very kind and caring person. RD and I were just talking about you and wishing we all lived close together so we could be there for each other even though it was just to state at each other while we moaned and groaned, LOL.

Yes, I have thought about getting on Zhangs. I just told my husband that a few minutes ago. I will talk to my doctor and see what he says first and if all else fails, I will consider Zhangs. I probably already have most of the stuff already. I have a ton of supplements. I noticed that I have almost everything that Dr. B recommends.

CG, Thank you. I wish we lived near each other too. Wouldn't that be a hoot - all of us in our pj's, zoned out and moaning.

Part of my problem is I never carry through with plans to have friends visit mostly because I know I won't be able to stay awake for long or will completely zone out on them. I know I shouldn't worry about this but for some reason the thought overwhelms and stresses me. Very weird. lol My ex ocassionally visits because for some reason I don't care if this happens when he's here. lol I was always such a social person but feel as if I've been forced into withdrawing from the world. Again, very weird and frustrating.

I'm curious to see what your doctor says about Zhang. When I mentioned it to mine he said it was a good idea but wants me to hold off for a little while because he doesn't think my body can handle it all right now. I'm on so many meds and I think neuro-toxins are definitely playing a big part in how I feel. Sounds a lot like you.

I'm also on so many supplements it's hard to keep track of them all.
