Can some one point me me to a llmd or at least a doctor that is
open to lyme treatments that HAS to accept insurance. I am in tampa and the Dr. C that I was seeing in the area is NOT willing that I can go to. Is there any at least Lyme Friendly Physicians around here? Can someone help me with a list? I need help but I really need someone who takes United Health Care. Any suggestions? I've heard of some in my vacinity but I can't find them now. Please help.
Anything would help. I'm deterorating (sp) faster than I ever imagined. I show MS symptoms but those came down the road after a lot of swollen lymph nodes, eye and ear infections, I still think it's my lyme.
I had an Elisa and got the results back and I'm so confused. I have tested positive through Labcorp twice and Igenex with LOTS of bands, including 31 and 39 Equivical. I had the conformation test that proved this is actually from Lyme but My Elisa was negative....much to my shock. Even looking at the results, it still looked like I was positive but he said no.
Can someone send me a list of someone else who can treat me? PM me if possible. I'm in agony. The pain is unreal. Thanks for any help I might get.

Ticker who is a member has a list and will be able to help you out. In the meantime, you can contact
[email protected]
and ask for a list of doctors in your area. Good luck.

Most LLMD's do not accept insurance.
Would you mind clarifying why you cannot see Dr. C? I know he takes insurance.

Good luck finding a doctor who knows about
Lyme who accepts insurance.
I was in Florida for 1 1/2 years 6 years ago and I was desperate for Lyme help. I did not know what I know now. I had tested positive in NY before I went and only got one month's treatment which of course was not enough. I found a PC in Hollywood on the east coast who listened to my story as I showed him my positive test. He asked me what I wanted---as he did not know how to treat Lyme! I told him what I was taking in New York and he gave me 6 months refills! It was enough till I got back home to find a LLMD. It did not make me better but it sure kept the bacteria load down.
This would only help if you knew what you could take. I went by Burrascano's protocal and went from there because I was desperate and getting worse. I am sorry to say I am not sure if this MD is still even around. The point I am trying to make is that maybe you can find one who will work with Burrascanno's advise. It is a long shot but one worth trying. Go with your Positive test in hand. I am sorry I don't have better advise for you.
If I ABSOLUTELY could not find a doctor I would read Burrascanno's protocal which talks about
dosage and what to take. I would order the meds online from a reputable supplier. Many on this forum get theirs that way. Maybe they could direct you to who sells non counterfit drugs if you chose to go that way. Of course you would need to know if you are allergic to certain antibiotics.
What a shame we have to be so desperate that we must attempt medicate ourselves when we pay so much for health insurance.
Blessings

There is a LLMD in Florida who follows Burrascanno's guidlines.

Yep, he's the one I almost went to before I found the doctor here where I live. I think I would have had to drive like 9 hours to see him in Florida. I didn't care though because to me, it was soooo worth it.

I am in Orlando and am also looking for someone who understands but will take insurance. I went through 2 months of abx last summer when I lived in South Fl and was told I would be ok. I have had reoccurring symptoms for the past few months and my new internist here in Orlando won't even accept the idea that I have Lyme(because his one basic test from quest came back and said negative, even though I have positive tests from last summer)! I feel like I am going crazy.
